Im trying to iron out some details about the suspension im designing and need some clarification. Im wanting to use a pushrod system.
When the car is at rest, (ie just sitting on the drive, no droop or bump) at what point in its travel should shock absorber for that wheel be, at that
time. At first i thought 50% compressed but then i thought that you should probably have more bump travel than droop. Am i on the right tracks?
So whats right?
60% bump 40% droop
70% bump 30% droop

Personally I would think that 70/30 is close to the mark. Ride height is set with the bones horizontal and you will need much more bump than droop imo.
i thought 70/30 might be pretty close.
Now i can break out the hardboard and string computer
