Has any body encountered problems with braided hoses failing ,
was reading that after time they can fail around the hose to connector where it flexes and that hoses should be changed regularly
how much time, years, decades?
I've certainly never heard anything bad about them and so long as there not cheap nasty rubbish made in a mud hut somewhere or fitted at a
stupidly tight radius they should outlast the normal hose.
They where talking of a year , which seemed very concerning to me , and that for racing would be ok as they would be changed regularly ,but for the
average punter they recommended rubber hoses as you can check for hose deterioration more easily ,and not so on the braided type and that they are
made from silicon hose which is not as tough as the rubber type hense my concern and me posting this Q .

Goodrich do loads of braided hose kits for standard road cars and they don't tell you to change them.
I would not worry unless you have fitted Cheap Sh1t hoses.

Aeroquip style hoses have a PTFE liner, not silicone.
