caterham anti roll bar mounting
smart51 - 22/1/08 at 10:32 PM

I'm thinking of using a caterham front anti roll bar on my new project. It seems made to measure. I'm not sure how they mount though. Their web site only has mounting rubbers for the 18mm bar. It has aluminium clamps and welded steel mounting brackets. Does anyone know if they are fitted in the metal clamps or if they're rubber / plastic sleved?

the ones on the later caterhams are the top one of your links, certainly the c400 and similar use that one with rubber (or polyurethane actually i think) insert

my pickup uses the same aluminium blocks for the ARB and steering collumn. either, i'd say

Is this any help?

yep that's like ours, and all the later ones. You can get two different bushings as well, red and blue?? I think

I was looking at this bit of kit...

but I'm not too sure about the clamp mount on the lower wishbone. Does anyone else see this as a potential cause of a failure of the 'bone or am I worrying uneccessarily?
