I have a wheel and tyre package at the moment with 15" 6.5J ET38 wheels and 195/50 15 tyres.
Question is what are the widest tyres that will sensibly fit the rims. I am hoping 205's will be OK. More traction needed!!
Thanks.
Steve.
I think 205's should fit. My tintop has 7J's and the tyres are 225
No problem,you can put a 205 50 15 on a 6" wide rim,so a 6.5" is ideal

1) Soften the rear dampers.
2) Fit an LSD
3) Keep the 195s

should be fine...
agree with zilspeed et al, check everything else first.
I have 380hp per tonne (not sure on your k series turbo power to weight ratio) in my locost and NO traction issues WHATSOEVER, in fact its sometimes
hard to break traction when you want it to!
I run 140lb rear springs i.e. very soft, plus only 2 clicks on the rear protech dampers, plus Yokohama A048R tyres, 195-65 R14
