What propshaft should i use on a Book build with a Fireblade engine.
Im going for IRS at the rear so what prop do i ideally need to match up to my sprocket adaptor and to my Sierra/Granada Diff
Thanks in advance
Do you already have the sprocket adaptor? If so what template is it made from? Probably easiest to go Sierra and modify the prop?
2 piece TRT. Do a search and you will find out who from!
your sprocket adapter should be standard ford/robin, but measure it!
the ask who ever is making it (they will ask you)
the dimensions of your rear diff flange!
then they will ask where you want the centre bearing to go !
hope that helps

If that's how you're doing the adapter, that's going back several years in BEC development.
In other words you're doing it the way people did when there wasn't a much more sound alternative. There is now.
I made mine in my lathe, easy enough to do, why spend £80 when these bits are free.
My prop a MKII escort 2pice prop, I cut off the front bit after the rubber donut and through that away (grind the tube down to the former and knock
off. Then use dthe front of a rangerover/landrover prop (with a slide, cheao as chips on Ebay)
For the adapator I pulled the flange off and old landrover diff, spun the middle out in my lather with a slight taper then dropped the cut down
sproket in.
Good as gold so far, the landrover prop is the same diameter as the escort.

Use whatever takes your fancy, the land rover one sounds a good idea as they use a very std run-of-the-mill prop end flange.
As long as its common, your prop manufacturer will be able to make a prop to suit. Could also use sierra as mentioned then its the same both ends.
Somebody on here is bound to have a spare sierra pinion flange laying around, just bore the middle out, even easier.
