Sierra Master Cylinder Reservoir

I've just fitted a new MC, but am having to recycles the old reservoir. BUt I can't get it to fit. Cylinder is the same but whatever I try I can't make the reservoir push in and seal on to the cylinder holes. IS there a trick to this?
Thanks
Ed

just give the sealing rings a smeer of grease or even brake fluid to lubricate, and just push the resevoir into place.

hmmmm, I had exactly the same problelm made worse by the fact I had already fitted the master so was not able to have as much space ot move the reservoir due to stuff getting in the way. I spent a lot oftime struggling and pretty sure yiou cannot fit the seals on the reservoior but they must be inside the master.

I found the the new seals were softer than the old ones and were being squeezed out of shape thus preventing them from gripping the reservoir.

Solved by using the orignal seals which were in good order.

maybe putting the master and seals in the deep freeze for an hour would have helped?
