made a topic a few days back about needing to make a diff cover. and thank you to Gary (omega 24 v6) for sending me pictures of the one he made

i have an axle from a ford aerostar in the garage and it has a fibreglass cover. though it doesn't look or feel like normal fibreglass... any one had any experience with them before? is there a speacial kind of resin i'd need for the oil or anything? I'm thinking of doing my own from a carbon/kevlar mix, because stangely it would actually work out cheaper than buying a pressed steel one. 1sq m of carbon kevlar mix (enough for 3 layers i think) is like £25

add in the possiblity i might need 2sq m, making a mould etc it doesn't work out any cheaper, but would look a lot cooler

Will yours be running a redtop vauxhall

i won't be racing mine so i went for the vauxhall ecotec instead. cheaper, easier to find, should be able to get similar power from them too
