Please can someone fill me in about the SVA rules regarding the flexible pipe from the chassis to the front caliper. Is there a prescribed route it
has to take? Can it start above and behind the upper wishbones?
The reason for the question is I went to Stoneleigh today and had a look at other 7 type cars - most people's pipes originate in the area
between the wishbones, mine is behind.
Cheers

I don't think it matters as long as it doesn't foul anything lock to lock.
Stuart is correct - it mustn't foul anything. Also, it mustn't be stretched, kinked or excessively twisted from lock to lock, and it shouldn't rub against anything - especially the tyre!
If it's stainless steel braided flexi - it needs to be covered somehow as the braids are too sharp.
Our examiner picked up on this - fortunately we had ours built with transparent shrinkwrap on them. More to keep them clean than for this purpose...
result!

Thanks for the responses.
Yes, they are stainless braided hoses so I'll have the think about how to cover them.

You can use spiral wrap to cover (as used in wiring looms, you can get it from maplin)...
