Hello,
Do the cortina uprights need any taper machining to fit the maxi/transit drop link setup normally used
And another thing who in earth said these things were light!!!
Cheers
David
IMO it ain't.
And also not light
I will flatten the rear of the upright at the M8 holes to fit cycle wings.
The cortina hub carrier is lighter than most, and remember to radius the edges that can be felt by the SVA inspector
Hi the upright needs no machining to fit the maxi on the lower or the transit to the top both direct fit.
The upright its self is relatively light but the steel hub is the heavy part. But this can be changed to an alloy replacement giving a relatively
light setup.
Cheers Matt
Thanks everyone, I will get alloy hubs and maybe alloy calipers but for now I will use them for the build as is.
Are the front standard cortina calipers and disks worth much, they are new old stock as is everything I got, the cortina uprights, Sierra lsd diff,
driveshafts, rear brakes, trailing arms, etc, all sparkling
I was thinking of selling the brake disks, pair of caipers and the rear trailing arms anyway
Cheers
David
