Rear sierra callipers are binding a little and the discs are getting hot. But mainly I can hear them when I am driving along, so want to sort them out.

When I fitted them They were very tight on the discs.

Can I remove the calliper and wind the piston in a little without disconnecting the brake hose or is there an other method.

Is the handbrake mech a little too tight?

As above --- slacken the brake cable right back, pump the pedal a few times then adjust the cable tensions so as the hand brake lever is operated reaches just over 50% of its travel before the handbrake starts to bight.

If that dosen't work check the master cylinder piston is free to come all the way fully back

Wind the piston in with the pipe connected then pump it back out with the foot brake BEFORE pulling the handbrake.

Howerver, are the levers returning to the stops. They are prone to sticking and difficult to free off as operating the lever without the disc can cause the adjuster to fail. If you do menage to free them off they'll doutless seize again.

You can reset the handbrake assembly on them IIRC. I think what you do is prize the lever out of the body then wind the piston back in.

My mates did exactly the same, close to on fire when we reached the petrol station 1 mile from home prior to SVA. The above cured it.
