Can anyone help me identify this steering rack, i think it is a mk1 escort. what are the differences between mk1 and mk2?

IIRC the MK2 has metric threads on the rods.

yeah mk2 is M14x2

Mk2 wider than mk 1 - can measure later if necessary.
Where are you at exactly ? We are between Wigton and Carlisle
