Rear axle positioning - trailing arms
Newbie question from the colony - we've got a stock book frame and are now working on positioning the 1st gen rx7 axle. Does anyone have a
precise trailing arm length for this? Or a guideline for spotting the axle, if precision is difficult. Tx. James.

Might be worth making adjustable trailing arms with a rod end at one or both ends of the arms. That way you can fine tune the axle position and
alignment to the rest of the car.

how would one go about doing that?
and are the rose joints OK (thinking threads rather than joint itself) for all the torque going through the axle.
nothing is impossible
everything is possible

my mate uses rose jointed trailing arms on his F2 BRISCA stock car and has done so for years, they are bullet proof.

1/2" Rod ends are perfectly adequate. The rod ends are being used in the correct way in this application (i.e. the threaded section is in
compression or tension rather than bending).
