sierra to escort steering UJ

only done about 10 miles and the sierra column to escort splines UJ has got some play in the joint itself, its about 7-10 mm at the wheel.

anywhere else to get one apart from rally design? i've not been to happy with the quality of this one anyway. paints flaking of and had to remove quite a bit of metal to get the triangular part of the column to fit, and now it has a load of play.

I've had the same issue with RD ones and so has my mate, he's got a new one on his car now - zero miles - and there is VISIBLE play in the joint, they are crap.

At Stoneleigh we saw ones on the europa stand which looked very good, they were £42 each IIRC, however, replacing my RD ones has been expensive!.............................

Yeah I just looked too, their e-catalogue is a bit pap and they don't show on the search or I'd post you a link but they do sell em, they are heavier duty and silver in colour, cast not pressed, you'll have to give em a bell but I think they were about £35+ vat.

They defo sell em, I saw them with my own eyes and had a mess with one to check it was solid

EDIT: I don't recall if they had the triangle fitting or if they were splined both sides though
