sierra drive shafts

looking at a sierra rear axle today with the shafts out, but was looking more at the shafts as 1 end was straight and true BUT the other end seemed to be off,is this correct or is it wrong ie if you were to lay the shaft on the ground and roll it ,it would roll around a circle
