Rally design brake disks to fit cortina hubs

Hi all

I would like to put larger disks on the front, as currently running cortina hubs/disks , and princess 4 pot calipers
problem is that not all of the pad is used by the disk,

So does any one know if the following Escort disks will fit the cortina hubs ??

http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=562_1807&products_id=13564

also, what if any, benifit from xdrilled disks

regards

steve

I think it'll fit the hub, the difference may be in the offset of the disk to the mounting point on the upright. I can't say if this is different. As to your question on cross drilling, its purpose is to help clean the pad surface. If you were to get a stone in there or are braking hard and wearing your pads badly, the holes are supposed to help clean the pad surface and remove this bad material. Problem is that every hole you introduce, bears with it a stress concentration which is a point where a crack can start to form. Drilled or slotted rotors also don't dissipate the heat produced during braking as well as solid rotors.
