Master cylinder-overhaul

sorted out the Cortina re-con calipers, now looking at the master cylinder . Not using a servo - what do you suggest for availability to overhaul or re-con .
Escort MKII -seals/re-con not found and new one £72 -

What to do ?

Thanks , Phil

I used an Escort one - just needed an overhaul kit to make it good.

You can get repair kits for just about any common master cylinder. The only thing that can't be fixed is rusted or worn bores - then it's uneconomic to repair.

You could of course do what my Dad did with his old Anglia many many years ago which now makes him cringe when he remembers what he did:

Make a small roll out of emery paper and rub down the inside of the bore with that!!!
