Which Ford CARS have the Type 9 ALLOY bellhousing?
I want to raid the scrappy on Saturday and I really want the ally one not the heavy old cast lump!
Never be afraid to try something new!

That will be the OLD Escort RS2000 then, loads of them in the scrappers up and down the country......
OR
Early XR4x4 with type 9 4wd box's, although the mating face is not flat and has a cut out for one of gearbox shaft's covers. If you just
bolt it onto a RWD type 9 box it will leak gearbox fluid out - I had to make up an alloy block to sandwich over the end. Hard to explain i've
got pics somewhere which make more sense. Oh and as its a V6 box then it will be longer than a 2.0l one to accomodate the longer input shaft.
If only everything just bolted together.........

Oh, and this is just to wind Billy up...
