Setting toe angle
How do I measure and set the toe angle of the 4 wheels of my car? It is sat on its wheels where they landed after bolting it all together. The rear
suspension has rose joints at the bottom so they are reasonably easy to adjust, I just need to measure by how much! My car is only part built and so
it can't go on the road. A cheap solution would be great.

are you sure you mean toe, as adjusting the bottom of the rear wheels would adjust camber angle not toe??.

the rear has 3 rose joints, 2 at the bottom and 1 at the top, adjusting 1 of the bottom ones will alter the toe angle and the camber a bit. Once
the toe is set, the camber can then be adjusted ith the top rose joint.
What I want is a method of measuring the toe of the rear wheels or all 4 wheels.

String alignment
Find exact centre of chassis front and rear.
Position steering dead ahead.
Arrange a stretched piece of string or long straight edges alongside each side of the car, exactly parallel to the car centre line, at wheel centre
height.
Measure distance from string to front and rear rim edge centre of all 4 wheel rims.
Any difference in front and rear measurements will indicate toe out (front measurement smaller) or toe in (front measurement bigger)
If you want it in degrees, measure exact wheel rim dia, and calculate using Trig
