Cycle wing stays and calipers

Have any of you guys used the caliper bolts to mount your cycle wing stays? If so, is it safe?

I realize I'm using a different upright than many of you, but it looks like using a caliper bolt might be the only option...

perfectly safe as long as nothing compressible is mounted on the bolts which would cause them to lose tension.

I have on my Cortina calipers, no problems. Allow for the thickness of your mounts when you buy bolts, I used 12.9 Allen bolts.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
