what do 13" alloys with 205/60 tyres weigh?

I'm thinking of changing my 109/50/15s for 205/60/13s and Im interested in how much weight I'd save. Currently my wheels and tyres weigh 16.6kg.

has anyone weighed a 205/60/13 wheel and tyre?

Weights (from internet sources)

Compomotive CXR 13"x7" 4,7 kg
Hoosier Sport (DOT Radial) 205/50R13 7,5 kg

...according to Compomotive and Miata.net Tire weight database

how bizarre, i weighed a pair of 205/60/13 r888 and they were only 6.1 kgs.

27lbs the pair, but thats on bathroom scales.

compomotive CXRs weigh 4.7 - 4.9 kg depending on who you ask. Yoko A012Rs weigh 8.0 kg each which adds up to 12.7 - 12.9kg plus air. My current wheels and tyres weigh 16.6 kg each inflated meaning a weight saving of, say, 15kg for the four.

£600 a set including falken tyres.

What would a second hand set of Alessio Monza wheels and tyres be worth? recently reconditioned by Laptab. Excelent condition. Tyres with lots of tread.

could the scales have been showing 2st 7lb, that would work out about right at 8kg each.

just checked the scales, the lbs are seperate to the stones so it was definately 27lbs, and using a pile of books, they also agree with my kitchen scales. Not exactly scientific, but thats what they say!

Do you have any scales at yours alan, to weigh them?
