Diff output flange sizes

Do cossie LSD's have bigger diameter output flanges than a non Cossie LSD?

If they do then i will need to get a set of cossie shafts won't i?

OR

Can i take the output flanges off a NON Cossie non LSD and pop them into my Cossie LSD, thus being able to use standard lobro shafts and not needing to pay a premium for a set of cossie shafts?

I got an LSD from a Granada and they were the larger flanges. I also thought that I could swap the flanges I had from a none LSD to this but they are slightly different in length.

I ended up having the smaller flanges professinally welded on to the none LSD shafts, bloody marvleous as-well. Only cost £30. Requires some precise measuring by eng. company.

did they chop off the big flanges first or just weld them on top?

If they welded them on top wont that make the track width wider by the thickness of the new flange???

The larger flanges were cut off and the smaller ones welded on to give exactly the same length and as a result no change in track width.

Regards
