light alloy wheels

I'ts now the moment to put the Avon on his wheels, so I'm looking for light alloys.
I would go for 185/60R14 but which ET should I take for the Tiger?
Can someone give some advice about which brand of tyres I should buy, are the TOYO R888 good value for money?

Regards from Belgium,
JP

185/60r14 would the the tyre size, the wheel under it would be about 6x14. No idea about et myself. R888 arent cheap and dont last too long (they start with quite a shallow tread anyway!) but i do like them myself. If you intend to do lots of miles on roads (ie touring etc), they might not be ideal for you.

Our 888's have done about 5000+ miles with 2 trackdays thrown in! I'd say that's quite good!

If I remember rightly the book says it is the usual Sierra offset, whatever that may be.
I am running 185/55x14 Yoko A032R's with a 6x14 wheel and +38 ET.
I also use a set of 185/70x13 Yoko A021R's with 6x13 wheel, +38 ET.
IF you want 13'' to save weight remember the clearance of the rear calipers....not easy.
If I were buying new tyres they would be Yoko A048R's

The offset should be the same as the original wheels used on the axles you are using, if you have cortina uprights then ET19, Sierra is ET38 etc

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation
