Redrilling OZ Super/Ultra Legera's
Hi All
Decided that I need some lighter rims, have to use 15's to get the right tyres (MSA list 1A hillclimbs & Sprints)
Without spending silly money the lightest I've come across are OZ Ultra Leggera's at 5.1kgs each - which is good.
But
Using on a Striker so 108pcd rear / 100 front.
OZ alloys are ET25 for the 108's which is good and ET37 for the 100's which isn't..
So anybody got any thoughts on Making a set of 108's 'Multifit' by having them drilled?
Anybody done it?
Anybody got any they can have a shufty at and come back with an opinion?
Or best of all anybody recommend a similar weight 1 piece alloy (i.e. cheap) that's available in the right size so I don't have to
bother..

What's wrong with using a spacer?
DO NOT PUT ON KNOB OR BOLLOCKS!

OZ spacers are pretty good and have a locating ring on them. What front uprights are you using? Is changing them an option?

Don't know about hillclimbs n sprints but scrutineers don't like spacers on tarmac circuit racing ?
I would check it out before you go down that route.
How about drilling your hubs too suit ?, 1 size fits all ? Done properly marked out on a lathe pretty easy job.

That's the best idea IMO, saves loads of hassles with different wheels and no nasty spacers/longer studs to worry about.

Very good point, hadn't thought of attacking the problem from the other direction..doh!
Sounds like a much better idea to me..
