Different Types of Transit Drag Links?

All,

I have a velocity XT. The camber adjusters which have the correct m18 x 1.5 thread screw in to the top wish bones fine...

However, the front camber adjusters - the transit drag links dont screw in well at all - even a m18 1.5 nut does not screw on well - where i have been able to screw the nut down the drag link thread - its altered the profile of the thread on the drag link....

Is there more than one type of transit drag link???

Has anyone else experienced this before?

I think there is also a 20mm one? I seem to remember when I was looking. But that may be the Transit track rod end.
Someone will come up with the facts later I'm sure.

There's a Transit track rod end which is very slightly bigger and won't fit into the camber adjusters, they look like they just might but they won't. Then there's the transit drag link. This is what you need for the yellow camber adjusters. Fit nice. Thinking you may well have the track rod end there.

Do you have the part number off the box it came in?

I have my original boxes in the garage and can see if it matches.

??? your not trying to fit the steering rack ends to the wish bones ??? just a thought...

I found one of the boxes - not sure on the other so cant confirm...

QD1117RHT - which after searching is the right one. perhaps i have one correct one, and one incorrect one ....

this is very odd....

i might just get new ones to be on the safe side.... ( incase they were the wrong ones in the box )

weird,

all i can say is perhaps one of them is fine, and one of them is a left hand thread ( the one i was trying to get the nut on ).....

ill have to dig out the other box to make sure, and try the nut on the other one...

thanks for the help guys

Sounds like the thread in the camber adjusters hasn't been formed properly.
