escort quick steering rack
Hi friends,
I would like to install a quick steering rack on my avon. I saw this from rallydesign :
http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=900_1332_1331&products_id=10620
It is written 2.4 Ratio Escort MK2 LHD short stem steering rack.
Can you explain me what means short stem , please?
I am using a regular escort steering rack (not shortened) , do you think the ones from rallydesign haves the same measure like mine?
Thankyou
Sorry about my English

Short stem means is where the column meets the rack (the bit with splines) the stem is 1" inches or so long, a long stem is a few inches long,
it has nothing to do with the overall length across the car width
I,m sure someone will have a nice picture in a minute
Regards Mark

The Tiger supplied one comes with longer arms though as the track is wider than escort - unless you have short extension pieces already in place.

Thankyou,
I already have a regular escort steering with extensions, so if I put one from rally design I guess I have no problem

I have the Rally design quick rack fitted - as stated you need the extensions as the trackrods are shorter than the Tiger item.
It was a good price though and can't fault the service

Rally design posted on here earlier this year that they would do quick racks with longer track rods if requested, has anybody tried them?
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
