Securing Brake Discs

Hi

I went to assemble my front Brakes this evening and realised that i couldn't retain the discs onto the hubs.

I can't use a small csk screw as the hubs have no tapped hole in, and i dont have the spire washers (as suggested in the haynes manual) as i never stripped the donor (bought a donor pack from MK).

Should i drill and tap a suitable hole in the hubs? What have other people done?

Cheers,

Chris.

Once the calipers are fitted and then the road wheels are on the discs are secured literally with the wheel nuts, the discs are held between the wheel and hubs.

You don't say what hubs - cortina hubs are held on with gurt big bolts!
Other types are frequently held in place by the road wheel & a fairly tight hubcentric middle hole!
