Renault Mass Damper - blue sky thinking

I was wondering --

The now banned Renault mass damper thingy might work on the back of a Locost (particularly a live axle car) to improve traction and braking on rough surfaces. The logic being that Locosts have a poor unsprung to sprung weight ratio and the mass damper might keep the rear wheels in better contact with the road.

Years ago CV2 s used something similar but attached directly to the suspension and I can remember the Vauxhall Viva HC rearaxle had counter weights on the ends of little leaf springs to reduce wheel hop.
