Q on removable steering wheel boss.

I am using the sierra column and switches. If I was to fit a removable steering wheel boss will I loose the steering lock and auto canceling of the indicators?

I think I will as I believe you have to chop part of the sierra column and weld on the spline part for the removable boss but just want to know for sure.

Depends on the removable boss. "Snap-Off" type are a simple replacement for the steering wheel, the unit then comprises 2 parts, one fixed to the steering shaft and the other the steering wheel.
Obviously simple racing types are much simpler, and you will lose the switches etc.

The autocancel is not necessarily lost, just drill a hole and put a small M2/M3 bolt in at the correct place.

Steering lock is lost yes, as you even might have to cut it off to be able to fit the quick release steering wheel.

you'll lose the steering lock because it acts on the original wheel or an aftermarket boss.

i've refitted the black indicator cancelling lump to my column though. it also means you can then retain the spring to keep the bearings in the column preloaded as they should be.
it's held down onto the column with a circlip, then the wheel fits on with a racetech boss
