steering rack
hi have just brought my rack from rally design 2.9 ratio woohoo. does it have to be modified now to fit my locost the book sayes it does but have
heard that a couple of people havent bothered as it is pricey from places like mk to get it done. what are my options and is there any where in staffs
or near that do it any help welcome thanks adam

If its a book chassis and Escort rack, then you'll get away with it as it stands, just mount it as low as poss in the chassis to minimise bump
steer.
Purists would say shorten by a couple of inches and add track rod spacers, but I didnt find that necessary.

whatever you end up doing, there sholuld be at least 1.5 times diameter of threaded part screwed into the track rod end (21 mm for M14)

Standard width rack here too, and no bump steer visible (took a bit of fiddling though)
