wilwood minilight handbrake rear calipers

Has anyone fitted these rears and can a sierra handbrake cable be used or does a special cable have to be purchased?

If you mean the Powerlite caliper (which has the handbrake) then yes, you can use the standard handbrake cable but it works better with the Wilwood cable.

I did a straight swap Powerlites for std Sierra jobbies - the handbrake cable will slot in without modification but the Wilwood cable has the proper fittings and fits better. I couldn't justify the extortionate Wilwood price so I made do with the std Sierra one - no problems so far except that the handbrake performance is crappy so don't park on any hills.

Did you remove the rubber ends so the plastic part sits against the operating arm at the caliper end of the cable and I assume you have to fit the spring that comes with the calipers between the two operating arms so they are held apart when the handbarake is not in use.

I found that the Sierra calipers were much more effective - the four pot Powerlites just look better.

Hi! I have these calipers with the correct cables.. Anyone got any pictures of how the handbrake end is assembled? I can't get clearance with the chassis without modifying the Sierra handbrake.

thanks
