Master cylinder problems..
Have swapped over to a MK1 polo master cylinder.
Bled the m/c before fitting the pipework
Have bled all calipers...
Still have a soft pedal??
Any ideas ??

Assuming you have bled the system properly - next step is to check for leaks -- unlikely to be obvious get some pedal to press the peddle on and
off, work round the unions and nipples dry them off and examine each carefully using a torch.
If you want to test the master cylinder just disconnect the pipes and screw a nipple into the vacated holes - give a quick bleed, if the pedal
isn't rock solid either the master cylinder is u/s or the pedal box mountings are flexing.

are the pushrods the same length? could be that the new M/S requires more piston travel

yeah had to use a longer push rod..
blocked off the rear feed, and got a firm pedal with just the front lines connected.
so need to check out the rear line tomorrow.

Are the bleed nipples on top of the calipers ?
