Steering column
What do I need to look for in a sierra steering column. I know its a non PAS one but are there any other types, if so what do I want? Are there any
other columns which may be better? I know the book says nova but which nova or are they all the same? If I get a sierra or nova one what mods do I
need to do to it to get it to 1. fit my rack and 2. have the double uj to get it through SVA.
My chassis is built to Rons book and I'm using a Mk2 escort rack by the way.
Also how easy is it to get the steering lock, ignition barrel, stalks etc off a steering rack?

Nova columns are all identical.
The have a captive nut holding them on so expect some jip removing it
(I used an angle grinder and pair of mole grips to get mine off)
Other options may be a Corsa B column, which is largely the same as a Nova but has a universal joint rather than a rubber one, but i doubt these would
be used for the locost.
Also using a Corsa one, would also allow the fitment of the EPAS motor column, but not sure if that would fit either. (its a hefty fecker)
(nova one is on top)
