yet more brake woes!!!

just fitted new callipers up front, got drums on the back

one side appears to bleed fine, but i cant get any fluid at all to flow on the other side... front right.

bought an eezi bleed amd it makes no difference.

driving me mad because all worked before i swapped callipers....

any suggestions?

OK, now if i take the calliper off on that side, no fluid flows from the pipe when i pressurise the system using the eezi bleed..
so, does that mean - air lock in the master cylinder?

Sounds odd. I assume your flexi line is decent and there's no way it is old and possibly blocked?

Must be air in the master cylinder then. Can you pump some fluid through with the pedal? I'm not sure how these easy bleed systems work.

Just solved it!
was using old flexi pipe for SVA since i know there are some problems with braided hoses..

unscrewed flexi and presto- fluid \\!!!

so , knackered pipes it was.
so, if anyone can suggest a good source of braided pipes???

juat noticed that Liam suggested this. well done mate, though if you had been 20 minutes quicker it would have been better!! next time, chop chop!!

Sorry!

I'm getting my flexi's made up by MNR. Or you could get all the little bits from someone like rally design and make em up yourself.

Edit: Hang on - twenty minutes faster would have been five minutes before you posted your second lot of information!

EXACTLY!

thats what we need around here - initiative (and a wee bit of predictive power)

On that note, what length of braided do i need?

i have the mountings as in "the book"

the sierra ones always looked a bit long, but i dont know how much 'slack' is ideal??

I got mine from

Merlin Motor Sport

Price was reasonable, made-to-measure, and came with crimped ends that are liked by the SVA inspectors (you may have to specify the crimps).
