Can Zeemeride dampers be modified easily?

Finally, it's SVA'd and on the road.

Sorry, it's a Robbin' Hood not a Locost but RH is nearer to the full on DIY locost experience than a Westfied or Caterham isn't it?

My Question : can the Zeemeride shock absorbers be modified to produce better damping? The springs seem to be pretty well spot on (blue front, green rear) but it's under damped and tends to jump about a bit on the bumps. Better damping might help here I think. But I can't afford adjustable Gaz or Koni or whatever people like to use these days so I wonder if anyone tried to improve what they mistakenly bought (in my case I got a set in the kit, so... ).

I was thinking along the lines of more viscous damper fluid or a smaller diameter valve thingie (inside the unit). Please tell me if I am talking boswellox. Someone said (long time ago) that they were Mini units. Sure look wierd with that sleeve around the damper which the spring is mounted on.

What do you think?

Cheers

Yep.Bin 'em.I've Zeemers' on my Locost.I wished I'd saved the extra £70 for a set of Gaz that are offered at £250 at the shows. But at the time I wasn't allowed....Anyway keep a eye on eBay for others.Quite regular on there.

..Which was nice..
