oil seal problem

Hi I posted a few topics on my aluminium hubs I bought s/hand form a chap who originally got them from GTS tuning!

I was told that cortina bearing kits would fit but the oil seal was to big and having posted on this forum with no suggestion I all most gave up hope but today I went to my local parts centre and they kindly order all of the cortina and escort bearing kit in for me to try and find a oil seal that would fit.

Unfortunately not one of the oil seal would fit and I was then told by a customer standing in the que that another parts supplier down the road can get any oil seal in any size you what which is a common request apparently anyway £5.28 later I now have oil seals that fit.

And although Darren from GTS was kind enough to return a call regarding the hubs he use to sell he didn't know what fitted?!!.

A bargain is never a bargain proven again

The oil seal is from a local automotive parts store I just measure the I/D and O/D of the hub and the chap gave me the following:

Ultra Parts
UOS576 Oil seal
Kent X/F Front

Hope that helps anyone with a similar problem.

KentX/L front sounds like the crankshaft pulley oil seal from a cross flow?

It could well be a oil seal from a ford motor I was thinking that same when I read the kent x/l bit.

Anyway just glad to find a seal that fits.
