First testdrive and wheel settings
Hello,
Today I went to the local carshop in our village to check the wheel alignment of my car. Because the garage is two street from our house I drove the
car to there by itself. It was also the first official testdrive made with the brakes working!! Men, this car is fast!
The people at the casshop used the Facom GTR300 alignmenttool. Because they had no data of my car we have used the data from an Sierra OHC Estate
1987-93. Perhaps such as your know I use the rear axle from an Sierra as also Tiger, RH etc does.
This are the settings measured:
My car
Front
Tracking total: 2,3mm
Each wheel : left 1,3mm / right 1mm
Camber : left -1° 18 / right -1° 40
Rear
Tracking total: 5,4 mm
Each wheel : left 2,5mm / right 2,9mm
Camber : left -0° 31 / right -0° 49
Stock Sierra standard ohc Estate 1987-93
Front
Tracking total: Min. 1,0mm Max 2,9mm
Each wheel : .....
Camber : Min -1° 19 Max 0° 41
Rear
Tracking total: Min -1,0mm Max 5,6mm
Each wheel : ......
Camber : ...... (no idea)
It seems that the right front wheel needs a little camber adjusment and the rear wheels might have more negative camber. But perhaps when I drop the
back a little bit it would be well. The rear is now 20mm to high.

I have a tiger and have been doing some work on my rear suspension. Your rear camber setting look like you may end up with positive camber at the top
of the suspension travel (not good)
see my post here:

It is an easy job to adjust the camber and toe with shims or washers.

Yesterday when I jacked up the car I looked to the Camber of the rear wheels. It seems to me that the wheels have 0 degrees of camber when the
suspension is extended. The original Sierra has a little positive camber at full drop. So I think it will be fine for normal road use as it is now. I
must say that the suspension travel on my car is very limited. And the car sits almost on its bumpstops on normal ride height. Perhaps new dampers
with the same open length but more stroke are needed.
Givemethebighammer: How much suspension travel do jou have on the rear of your Tiger? And what for spring rate are you ussing?
Greets Roy.
