Brake Master Cylinder Sizes

What's the best size of MC for front / rear individual cylinders?

I was going to go with 2 x 3/4's... am I making a mistake?

If the pedal lever lengths are the same you want to have master cylinders with half the area of the original single master cylinder to generate the same system pressure.

Way way to big you would need a truly horrendous pedal effort to slow the car

Try a pair of 0.625"

If you find you cannot get a balance without screwing the balance bar way off centre, stick a 0.7" in the end with too much brakes.

Much depends on your caliper piston sizes and disc size but 0.75" is probably too big for most setups. The most common seems to be 0.625" front and 0.7" rear.

Coincidentally I have a Girling 0.7" for sale at the moment.

This spreadsheet may help, but then again may not.

And before everyone yells at me, it's only basic to give an idea of whats going on.
