Mondeo Calipers
Anyone know how, or if Mondeo front brake calipers will fit the standard Sierra uprights?
Will Holman on PPC uses them on his 5.0L V8 Capri and I was wondering how easy they are to fit the Sierra uprights with vented discs.

he does use them, but they do not bolt straight on.
they use a caprisport bracket which mounts the mondeo caliper bracket on to the capri strut.
why woudl you want to use them anyway, they are designed for 260 brakes ( the ones he uses ) so why not just use sierra ones.

Well, I thought they much be much more powerful, pulling his 5.0L Capri?
Powerful enough for a fast heavy Capri = superb power for a 500kg kit?

nope. the mondeo caliper uses a 60mm piston, the same as the sierra 260mm calipers, so the clapmping ability is the same.
I have had both running on my old 24v capri and they work the same.
If you want bigger brakes, go cossie 4x4 calipers and 2wd sierra cossie front discs, but on a 500kg car, i doubt you will be outside of the limits of
the standard setup ( sierra )
