Sloping coil overs, Stiffer or softer?
If your coil springs and dampers are at a slope, do they appear softer or harder than if they are vertical?

Softer 
trig will give you the actual rate:
spring rate * sin (angle between shock and horizontal) = effective spring rate
So at 30 degrees you get half the spring rate.
It is more complicated than that, and you then get rising and falling rates as the suspension moves. Hence why inboard dampers tend to offer
advantages in other areas as well as reducing unsprung weight.
