this going to be safe?

eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
Motorsport Tools - Escort mk2 2.4 QUICK Steering Rack quick rack Left LHD

Need to quicken up the steering. 4.1 turns lock to lock is a bit much. I am nervous about buying such an important part off Fleabay though. It is actually illegal to modify or weld a steering rack where I live. Can anyone enlighten me on this type of Escort rack? Would I be better off getting it from Kitspares or somebody else?

Thank you again!

Good one, probably but I would look at an established company, like RD ect..

I've bought Escort-related items from Motorsport Tools - they were very nice quality.

Realistically, neither Kit-Spares nor Motorsport Tools will be the source/importer for these items. It's probably from the same manufacturer - probably from the same batch (unless UK made.)

Crack-on.

motorsport tools is a firm set up and run by rallyists, their website is pretty far reaching but like most they also have an fleabay presence

Thanks, chappies. Never know from over here. The fleabay stuff is a bit more expensive than some places, so wanted to check their reputation on here first.
