13" wheel/tire combo ?
Hi all i am making the swap to 13" wheels on the roadster and was just wondering what most people are do as far as rim width goes and tire
width.
I am planning and using a 185/60/r13 on a 6" rim for the front and a 205/60/r13 on a 7" rim for the rear
what is everyone else using?????
cheers

I didn't think you could go smaller than 15 inch on the roadster due to the clearance on the rear upright.
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

That's cool, I'd be very interested in what you come up with. I really want to switch to 13's too.

its shaping up quite well, but my plan is a little more extreme than just a rear suspension redesign

Ground clearance is another potential problem area. It certainly was on my MK, causing me to miss the whole summer season. Think about where the stops
will be on your spring/dampers, and how long the springs will be.

If you were running 205-50-15 the difference in diameter using 205-60-13 is -10mm
Should be able to dial that out without to much trouble

My car was on 185/60/r13 front 205/60/r13 rear when I bought it, but now spends most of its time on 185/60/r13 all round due to massive price hike of
going wider. The 12m increase in height at the rear on a 185/60 205/60 combo is visually noticable but doesnt look silly.

Thats what I went with, except 6 1/2" rim on the front rather than 6"
