Prop shaft rotation
Looking towards the front of the car, does the prop spin anti-clockwise when driving forward?

I'll tell you tonight if nobody has replied beforehand but from visualising it in my head, I think you are correct. Find a picture of a Sierra /
English diff and you can work it out from that, if I recall correctly the crown wheel is on the passenger side when mounted meaning it will be anti
clockwise

My vote is anti clockwise still 
Here's a pic of an English diff
The flat edge off the diff nose (top right in the picture) is the bottom of the diff when mounted in the axle, therefore the crown wheel is on the
passenger side of the car. If you roll the car forwards the crown wheel will turn in the same direction, which means the pinion (and so the prop also)
will turn anti-clockwise - I think

huh!!
i´m not mad...
think of the blade engine pallss..
to turn the wheel going forward it needs to turn anticlockwise looking at sprocket okay???
now put the engine in the car
if you stand in front of the car lokking at the radiator from the front (via the nose cone entrance)
then it turns clockwise..
easy job..

Looking at the engine from the front it turns clockwise, whether it's a bike, pinto, zetec or whatever.

Not always Pete, some of the Honda engines run anti-clockwise from the front.

He said "Looking towards the front of the car", ie standing at the back and looking up the bonnet as if sitting in the
car

But wherever I look at it from, the prop still goes in the same direction. He didn't say he was sitting in the car and I look towards the front
when standing in front of the car. I therefore maintain that the prop spins clockwise wherever you look at it from or the car would go backwards if
you stood behind it. If you stand behind a clock does it go anticlockwise or does it appear to... Pat's not fitting an anticlockwise engine
Craig, and even Honda realised they'd got it wrong on that one.

As a figure of speach surely you look towards the front if standing at the rear of the car, the same as you look towards the front of a cinema when
watching a film even if you are right at the back. Face towards the front means looking forward in the direction of the object, ie same way as the car
is pointing.
So if looking in that direction the prop turns anti-clockwise. If you look at a clockface from the back then that is also going anticlockwise,
the description "clockwise" or "anticlockwise" doesnt change just cos its a clock you're looking at from the back,
clockwise is always hands going to the right when at the 12 o clock position !!

P.S. Those are first row seats not front row, or there would be front row, back row and all the ones in between would be middle row.

Don't worry, I sort of see where you're coming from (apart from the seats/rows thing which is bollox ) , but it does strike me as
fishing for an escape route here cos to most people I think "looking towards the front" means looking the same direction as the driver
looks when sitting in the car, regardless of where they are standing.
We can forgive TKS as its not his native tongue, but you are not forgiven

Another vaguary, it just gets worse for me. I've had a lifelong struggle to understand other peoples logic. I don't think tks and I did
anything that needs forgiving, anyway I'm bored with this now I give up. I'm happy to be one of the few and not like most people . Check
