Brake discs....again

Anyone know if the description on these is correct? It says that they will fit Cortina 3, 4 and 5 as well as the Lotus ones. Std cortina discs are 247mm dia, those are 245mm.

The same discs (247mm) fit the Mk2 escort (not Mexico etc).

Help...

Cheers,
David

Quinton Hazel list the discs for the cortinas and escorts and capris as different. They are at least different in diameters, 245 vs 248mm.

I'll just stick with normal discs now anyway.

Cheers.

Here is the cheapest place to buy Cortina MK3 to Mk5 discs --- the MK3-5 was totally different ftom the Mk1 & 2 with Lotus/1600e/Corsair models being different again.

Cheers BT. You confirmed what I thought. I got the guy to cancel my bid on Ebay, though he hasnt modified the description.

Do the discs from that site work out cheaper than buying them from a motorfactors, by the time you add postage etc? Works out at £22.58...

I looked at his picture of the box they are actually the discs that were fitted to the Ford Corsair and adopted for the Cortina Lotus -- later fitted to the MK2 1600e the RS Escorts and some UK built Capris.

Mind you a 1982 Cortina Lotus would be worth a bob or two -- they stopped making them in 1969
