Viento rear hub carrier bolts / wishbone fouling

Hi!

Having spent weeks gleaning advice off the forums I've reached a problem that I can't find the answer to!

The rear hub carrier bolts (I think this is what the'yre called - 6 x torx bolts going into the back of the hub) are knocking on the underside of the top wishbone quite regularly, to the extent that they have now taken off quite a bit of metal. Gets worse when the suspension is compressed, and quite often knocks the bolts loose! It only happens on the nearside. Anyone got any experience of this / ideas what could be causing it? I'd quite like to sort it out before it goes all the way through...

Cheers!

are we talking about the six torx bolts on the drive shaft lobro joint that goes into the hub?

If so may be a spacer problem with the diff mounting

Just had a look at the rear of my part built viento with the drive shafts trial fitted and cant figure out what is hitting what.

some more detail or pics would help you get an answer.

If you bought it direct from Luego I am sure they will help ..

Afraid I can only get at it to take pics at the weekend until I move into my new place WITH a garage!

As you raise the wheel, the back of the hub gets closer to the top wishbone - on mine, close enough that the bolts make contact with the end piece that has the thread for the track rod end type thing in it... hmm i clearly need to work on my descriptions...

I see where you mean now !

Ummm...

Is the ride height set the same on both sides or is it lower on the near side.

on a level surface measure from floor to bottom of chassie. Or look at the shocks and springs on both sides. Are the springs the same length.

just ideas...

seems to me that the near side is moveing up too much..

Diff spacers...

If you have a & 7 inch diff then there should be spacers either side of the top and bottom mountings. If theses are not correct then it would move the lobro joint 1 or 2 mm out of the hub and possibly add to the problem of bolts hitting wishbone.
