Master cylinder sizes

I'm about to spend money on master cylinders, however I have no idea which sizes to buy. I havea standard escort rear axle and standard cortina front brakes. The pedal box is setup for twin master cylinders but I've got no idea what bore they should be. Any help would be gratefully recieved.

I should ask
What bore wheel cylinders are you using ?
Is the Escort axle M1 or Mk2 ?
Is it a car or van axle ?
8" or 9" drums ?

But I will take a wild guess you have a standard 8" drums Mk2 axle from a car fitted with 0.7" bore wheel cylinders.

With this set running the same bore master cylinders on front and rear circuits should be OK . Sso you have a choice of 0.7" or 0.625". --- 0.7" will give a harder pedal but less travel, 0.625" less pedal effort.

(If you can find a Hillman Imp both the brake and clutch cylinders are suitable identical 0.625" cylinders, the twin carb Imps used a 0.7" on the brake --- similar cylinders were also used on some series Land-Rovers)
