Wheel weights
Hi all,
been thinking of changing my alloy wheels, there a bit to big at 7x15" for my stylus. With tyres they weigh 18 Kg's each, any
recomendations for a lighter 6x14"?

We are running 15" CXR's with R888's and getting 14Kg.
Our 16" Team Dynamics Motorsport's with Avon ZV1's were 16Kg.
15" Suppaleg's with Proxies should be able to hit 14-15Kg as the R888's are slightly heavier due to thicker sidewalls.

thicker sidewalls yes, but a good 3mm less tread depth than most.
for comparison, a 17" (yes i know) team dynamics pro race 1 with 205/40/17 r888 weighs 16kg, so in 15" should be a good bit lighter. istr
mkblade (full frame photo tony) has them in 15".
dunno if i've been looking in the wrong places, but tyre choice in 14" is crap compared to 15" or 13". i'd stick to a
nice light set of 15s, or 13s if they'll fit

OZ Superleggera all the way!! Amazingly light wheels, specially when you consider the price too!
Just weighed one of my 15x7s with a nearly new 195/45/15 Yokohama A539. Just under 12kg!! That's with a calibrated load cell by the way
(although it agrees with my bathroom scales ). Add a little more for 50 profile tyres, but that makes the Yokos pretty light tyres if
Hellfire's estimates are correct. The Super Ls are quoted at 4.9kg without a tyre which is awesome for a relatively cheap cast 15x7.
