tyre advice
i'm looking for a good set of winter tyres, before the roads start to get wet.
i need something to replace my r888s, as last time i was out in the wet, i noticed there was no spray, i assume because they clear absolutely FA
water. it definitely felt like it above 20mph . i want something that'll be good in the wet, but don't want dry handling to suffer too
much, having been used to the adhesion of the r888s
toyo proxes T1-Ss look about right, and the T1-Rs are cheaper, but was also looking at yoko a539s on pat's recommendation.
can anyone offer any opinion on the above from experience, particularly in the wet.
cheers gents, any help greatly appreciated

i'd heard a539's aren't that great in the wet and bridgestone potenza re720's and continental sport contact's are
better. also eagle f1 something or others are all meant to be very good all weather tyres.
Ned.
beware, I've got yellow skin

I had no problems with my 539's in the wet - just the odd slide/twitch when I was pushing it or the roads were greasy.
But at around £35 a corner, you can't go wrong.

Had the T1-Ss on my Mazda MX5 and they were great in the wet, mind you the car was heavier than yours at 950kg.
