Split suspenion mounts

In order to add a degree of adjustability of castor I was wondering about splitting the top front suspension brackets and mounting the two sections further apart. With the use of spacers and longer bolts I could then have some adjustment on the camber. Is this a good idea? Would it meet with the SVA insectors approval? I have some brackets which are a bit too small anyway so they would be ideal to use.

Would it not be easier to make longer ones? That what we have done and, like you say, use spacers to pack the gap.

Andy.

Pretty easy to cut them in half and weld the two sections onto the frame - probably easier than trying to make them myself.
