anti rattle springs
How do i put the anti rattle springs on the ford serria calipers single piston 1.6. The haynes manual doesn't really say how to put them on.
Just mounted the steering rack and the track rod extensions.
It will fit wheres me hammer?

by buggering about for ages and getting thoroughly peed off with them, that's how!
Done loads and still get peed of with em!!
If you bend the middle of the spring (where it has a bit of an angle in it) with a chisel or similar (inserted between the caliper and spring and
twisted to pash against the spring), this will narrow the distance betwwen the "legs" a bit, and after slotting one end in first, you
should be able to then use your third hand to coerce the other end in with long nose pliers!

'Refiiting is the reverse of removal' - yeah right!!!! They are a pain in the arse. You just have to be patient and forceful. Ive never
found a quick easy method using basic hand tools and done loads same as Nat says. I remember using mole grips to get a tight hold and some long nosed
pliers to diretc the legs. You seem to just get them into the holes and then they eject themselves somewhere towards Leeds!!! It is very possible just
a nack to it.

Suspect it may be a knack , don't normaly have any problem with them myself. Try fitting one end properly first, then insert 2nd end into hole
and use a small screwdriver to ease then 2nd "loop" into place . Gets easier with practice.
