Which Steering Rack?
Hi,
I'm buyilding a McSorley +4 with DeDion rear end using normal length Sierra drive shafts.
I've got a pair of Cortinal uprights but haven't yet made the wishbones or bought a steering rack.
I know everybody seems to use a Mk2 Escort rack with extensions but are there any sensible alternatives which avoid the extensions? I just
don't like the idea of adding an extension to this safety critical part if it could be avoided.

RD were on here a week ago; they are planning to make racks with longer track rods. If this is not immediately urgent, I suggerts you wait a bit ro
give 'em a cal as to when (I'd like to know too!)

If however you want an escort rack then I will have one available soon as I have just bought a quick rack.

Nowt wrong with extensions. Just a lump of steel that's no more likely to fail than any other lump of steel on your car if it's properly
specced.
